Recycling points and centres (tips)

As well as your blue glass bin and your green recycling bin you can take recycling to points and centres around the district.

We need to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. If you have items which can’t go in your glass or recycling bins consider taking them to a recycling point instead of putting them in your general waste bin. Find out what goes in which bin on our wheelie bin page

Recycling points

Recycling points are often available in the car parks of supermarkets or other local places. What can be recycled in the banks differs from place to place but may include bottle banks, clothing and shoe banks, and cardboard banks.

To find your nearest recycling point enter your postcode or a town on the Recycling Now locator.

You can recycle batteries at our battery collection points.
