Kerb side collections

Residents are invited to dispose of one bag of extra waste. Waste should be bagged and put out with your regular bin collection during the relevant week, on your usual collection day. As long as it is in a bin liner and doesn’t contain hazardous material we will collect it.

Please note extra waste may not be collected at the same time as your bin but you can check when your regular collection is due on our bin calendar

To help limit the risk to our crews please spray the neck of the bag with anti-bacterial spray when placed at the collection point.

Bulky waste collections

Residents can take advantage of a free bulky waste collection when booked during the BIG Ashfield Spring Clean - 8 February and 26 February 2021. Each household can book one free bulky waste collection where we'll collect up to 3 items.

We will collect:

  • furniture
  • white goods
  • beds
  • mattresses
  • old toys
  • outdoor furniture
  • cookers
  • and household items.

To help limit the risk to our collection crews we will be allowing at least 72 hours between the initial request and the collection. Where possible, please ensure that your items are presented at a collection point towards the front of your property as soon as your request is submitted and not handled again prior to collection.

Each household is limited to one request, for up to 3 items during the campaign. We won't be accepting payments for additional collections. Quotes for removal of larger amounts of waste will be available again after The BIG Ashfield Spring Clean.
