Ashfield District Council scooped the top prize in the Collaborative Working category at the 2018 EEM Ltd Building Communities Awards, in recognition of our work with J Tomlinson on the Councils regeneration project across Ashfield, including the refurbishment of nine derelict properties at Warwick Close Kirkby.
The awards recognise and celebrate the remarkable achievements made within the housing and construction industry by social housing providers, contractors and manufacturers.
Paul Parkinson, Director of Housing and Assets said “Ashfield District Council are very proud of this award and it would not have been possible without the ongoing hard work and commitment of everyone who has been involved. We have been working in partnership with J Tomlinson to improve areas of Ashfield. The ongoing partnership will see over £30m invested in upgrading, renewing and regenerating Ashfield’s Housing Stock.”
Mark Davis, CEO of J Tomlinson said “It is also fantastic to be able to share an award with one of our longest-standing clients, Ashfield District Council, with whom we have enjoyed an excellent relationship stretching over ten years. The partnership between the council and J Tomlinson has yielded significant benefits for the council’s residents and communities through a range of housing improvement works, fundraising, and the delivery of an extensive employment and skills programme.”
