Blooming good turnout for Sutton Plant Fair

Tuesday 16 May 2017 Blooming good turnout for Sutton Plant Fair

The Annual Plant Fair in Sutton took place on Sunday the 21st of May, selling a range of plants and cakes to the public.

Overall there was a total of 16 stalls selling a variety of bedding plants, shrubs, flowers, with four stalls selling cakes and refreshments.

The excellent weather ensured the plant fair had a very good turnout of visitors throughout the day.

The next scheduled Plant Fairs will take place in Kirkby on 3rd June, and in Sutton on the 11th June. Bookings from nurseries, plant sellers and any other garden related traders and groups for both of the events, cost from £15 per stall for the Kirkby event and £20 per stall at Sutton.

Edd de Coverly, Service Director for Place and Communities stated: ‘‘Overall the Sutton event was very successful, with a great amount of visitors!’’

Please note that the Hucknall plant fair planned for the 20th May has been cancelled as there is no access to the High Street at this time.
