A poppy light has been installed on Derby Road in Annesley to commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War.
Mounted outside the Badger Box pub, this is the fourth light to be commissioned by Ashfield District Council following installations on Urban Road, Kirkby; Baker Street, Hucknall and Portland Square, Sutton.
Four Tommy silhouettes have also recently been commissioned and installed across the district by Ashfield District Council.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Jason Zadrozny was on hand to assist the installation team. He said: "We're very proud to be holding a whole host of events across the district to commemorate this special year and remember those who have fought for us."
"This, along with the other three poppies across the district and our four Tommy Silhouettes, is a fantastic way to mark our respect for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country."
