Here is what you need to know.
From September, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will be moving into the Urban Road Council offices to create a shared location for the DWP and Ashfield District Council.
The shared location will allow the two organisations to work in partnership with each other and improve the customer experience.
This will involve major renovation works to the current ADC reception, allowing us to create a modern, flexible space that will benefit the customer. All construction works are being funded by the DWP.
Works will start on Monday 10th July and will involve significant changes, including how you access the building. The current main entrance will be closed and access to the building will be through an alternative entrance. This will be signposted and all Council services will be delivered as usual. The works will last two months and the new look reception is due to open in early September.
