Hucknall’s thriving café culture has recently been celebrated with a week of special offers and promotion.
Ashfield District Council, working in partnership with Hucknall Tourism and Regeneration Group and local businesses, recently hosted a Café Culture Week in the Hucknall town centre.
The promotion of Café Culture week with fantastic offers took place from the 13th - 19th August.
Café Culture week was an all-round success with a significant number of cafes taking part and the community getting involved. It provided a great opportunity to support and promote the fantastic deals local traders were offering during the week.
On the 18th August, a special Music in the Market event provided café customers and traders with street entertainment and was a spectacular end to the Café Culture week.
Councillor John Wilmott said ‘’Café Culture Week was a fabulous occasion for traders to promote their businesses and get involved in a great initiative. Many people in the community enjoyed taking part in Café Culture Week and I would like to thank everyone who took part. I hope for further success for our cafes in the future!’’
Karen Clubley from Mrs C’s Vintage Tea Room commented ‘’This week has been really good for us as a local business in Hucknall to promote our offer and our tea room. We hope that week’s like this will continue and help other local traders in the area!’’
