WITHDRAWAL OF THE ASHFIELD LOCAL PLAN 2016 FROM EXAMINATION
Ashfield District Council resolved at its meeting on 6th September 2018 to withdraw the emerging Local Plan and commence development of a new Local Plan immediately.
Under Section 22 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, Ashfield District Council has withdrawn the Ashfield Publication Local Plan 2016, which had been submitted to the Secretary of State for Examination. A copy of the statement of that fact in accordance with Regulation 27 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, as amended, is available here

Local Development Scheme
Following the decision to proceed with a new local plan, the Council has approved a Local Development Scheme (LDS).
The LDS sets out the Council's programme for the production of planning policy documents that form the Ashfield Local Plan. It outlines the details of and timetable for the production of all documents that make up the Local Plan. As such, it provides a starting point for you to see at what stage you can become involved in the plan making process
