Proposed Hucknall Conservation Area out for consultation
Ashfield District Council is seeking public feedback on the proposed designation of a Conservation Area for Hucknall town centre.
A Conservation Area is an area of special architectural or historic interest the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance.
The designation of a Conservation Area brings special planning controls, especially over the demolition of buildings and felling of trees.

The Designation Statement and Questionnaire sets out Hucknall’s special character and appearance, outlines the effect of Conservation Area Designation and includes a Questionnaire on the proposals. It is available to view here.
