The Parliamentary election will take place on Thursday 8 June 2017. Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.
Postal Vote Information
The deadline to apply for a postal vote or make any changes to your existing postal or proxy arrangements is 23 May 2017 at 5pm.
Postal Votes will be issued in two waves around 24 & 31 May 2017. Any applications received after 10 May 2017 will be included in the issue scheduled for 31 May 2017. Please factor this in when applying for a postal vote if you are going on holiday.

Proxy Vote Information
The deadline to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf at the polling station is 31 May 2017 at 5pm. If you have an emergency due to illness or employment after this date, you should contact the elections unit for advice.

Prospective Candidates & Agents
The Acting Returning Officer will be holding a briefing session for prospective candidates and agents on 3 May 2017 at 5pm in the Torkard Room, Ashfield District Council Offices. The session will provide information on key dates and processes in the election timetable. Anyone considering standing for election is encouraged to attend.
