6. I've moved into a new house but it isn't on the map?

We receive updates to the OS maps every 2 months, however, the Ordnance Survey are responsible for the updating of the map so some new features may take longer then 2 months to appear. Check that the layer called 'Not Yet Built' is ticked - this contains newly built and proposed properties.

7. How accurate are the maps?

Although the maps are in some areas accurate to one metre, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the map layers. These maps should not be used instead of title deeds and any line is not representative of a boundary. For more information on property boundaries please contact the Land Registry http://www.landreg.gov.uk/.

8. My House number is wrong on the map

If you email lpg@ashfield.gov.uk and include your address, we can pass on the problem to the Ordnance Survey to resolve in their next update.

You may need to refresh the map by moving it slightly to show the information. If the information you have selected is greyed out it means that you are not zoomed in close enough to view the data. If you still have problems contact us at lpg@ashfield.gov.uk or call (01623) 457 281.
