Data Protection Act 2018, Schedule 2, s2(1)(a)

allows for the exchange of information for the following listed provisions; where it is for the purposes of the prevention, detection of crime, the apprehension or prosecution of offenders or the assessment or collection of a tax or duty or an imposition of a similar nature, to the extent that the application of those provisions would be likely to prejudice those objectives

Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (Section 115)

allows for the exchange of information where the disclosure is necessary or expedient for the purposes of any provision of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, or amendments to that legislation.
