Ashfield Careers Fair 2026

Do you want to explore the employment, apprenticeship, volunteering and training opportunities available on your doorstep?

Ashfield District Council, in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions, will be hosting Ashfield Careers Fair 2026 at Kirkby Leisure Centre on Wednesday 14 October from 10am until 2pm.

The event is free to attend and is open to residents aged 15+, including jobseekers, students, school leavers, those wanting to change their career, and anyone interested in developing their skills or progressing in their role.

At the event you will be able to:

• Meet local employers from a range of sectors.
• Explore current job vacancies.
• Find out about apprenticeship opportunities.
• Learn about local training and skills programmes.
• Access careers guidance and support.
• Discuss volunteering opportunities.
• Receive self-employment and business start-up advice.

With up to 75 exhibitors in attendance, the Careers Fair offers a great opportunity to discover what is available across Ashfield and the surrounding area.
