Housing strategy and research

We are committed to improving housing and housing services. We have put copies of strategies that help us plan improvements to our service, and help make Ashfield a better place to live all into one place, on this page.

The team is responsible for responding to consultation on new housing policies from central Government and drafting any new policies needed locally.

Housing strategy 2024 – 2026

Our overarching strategy sets out 4 key priorities:

  • Delivery of new affordable housing
  • Improving private sector housing standards
  • Preventing homelessness and rough sleeping
  • Maintaining and improving council home

4. Strategic tenancy strategy
