Ashfield Careers Fair 2026 - request a free exhibition stall

Ashfield District Council, in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions, is inviting employers, training providers, education providers, support organisations and community groups to exhibit at Ashfield Careers Fair 2026.

  • Date: Wednesday 14th October 2026
  • Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
  • Venue: Kirkby Leisure Centre, Hodgkinson Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, NG17 7DJ

The event aims to connect residents aged 15+ with local employment opportunities, apprenticeships, training courses, volunteering opportunities, careers advice and self-employment support.

Exhibiting is free of charge. A table and chair will be provided, and exhibitors will have the opportunity to engage with jobseekers, students, schools, colleges and local residents throughout the day.

Please complete the form on this page to request a stall. Due to high demand and limited space, submitting a form does not guarantee a stall allocation.

8. What will your organisation be promoting at the event? Please note that secondary schools and colleges will be inviting students aged 15+ to this event. So please make sure you bring material that supports these age groups. For instance: apprenticeships / career pathways.
If promoting vacancies, please aim to have a representative available who can discuss them with attendees.
11. The theme of the event is "Advanced Manufacturing and Distribution". Will you be promoting employment and skills opportunities to progress into these industries? *
For example, if you are a recruitment agency or an apprenticeship provider.

Best Dressed Stall competition

The winning exhibitor will be presented with a certificate and photographed with the event organisers and local councillors. The winner may also be featured on Ashfield District Council's website, social media channels and future event marketing materials.

If you would like to take part, we encourage you to make your stall as visually appealing and interactive as possible by bringing:

  • Attractive banners and displays
  • Demonstration products or equipment
  • Branded table covering
  • Marketing materials
  • Business cards
  • Giveaways and promotional items
16. Will your organisation be participating in the "Best Dressed Stall" competition? *
Note that the DWP and Secondary School’s will be booking time slots to help manage the flow and this will run up until the end.
