Ashfield Food and Drink Festival was a huge success

Food lovers united as the annual Ashfield Food and Drink Festival was once again a huge success.

The event returned to Hucknall town centre on Sunday 17 August, for a day filled with tantalising tastes and smells from across the globe.

It was Ashfield District Council’s biggest food festival to date with more than 50 traders offering everything from street food and cheeses to cakes, beers and cider.

The entertainment was provided by the hugely talented Vaguely Savoury and Rupert from Healthy Eating Solutions with some well received cookery demonstrations.

Cllr John Willmott, who represents Hucknall on Ashfield District Council, said:

“It was great to see so many people out enjoying the Ashfield Food and Drink Festival this year. We had so many wonderful traders and the entertainment was a big hit.
“There really was something for everyone and the weather was kind to us. Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday.”
