Ashfield Show 2026 phenomenal success
Ashfield Show 2026 proved to be the best yet with record-breaking attendance as thousands flocked to Sutton Lawn for a weekend packed with music, entertainment and family fun.
Organised by Out of the Box Events on behalf of Ashfield District Council, the district’s biggest weekend of music and entertainment returned to Sutton on 7 - 9 August with an exciting programme featuring popular tribute acts, a bustling community area, a vibrant market village and a thrilling funfair.
Early figures show that the Saturday attracted around 7,000 people at the peak, which smashes the previous Saturday attendance from Ashfield Show 2025 which saw approximately 5,000 at the peak.
The Music Lab Agency curated an exceptional line-up of main stage entertainment throughout the three-day event, ensuring there was something to enjoy for every age group and musical preference.
The programme featured tributes to legendary artists including Queen and Coldplay, alongside performances celebrating today's chart-topping stars such as Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan.
Beyond the main stage, families explored a wide range of attractions. The community area once again proved popular, with a brand-new nature trail, family entertainment and a wide range of stalls.
The crowd-pleasing dog show was back bigger than ever and an appearance from a former Gladiator ‘The Giant’ supporting the Children’s Air Ambulance meant there was something for everyone.
Visitors enjoyed a wide range of food and drink choices, from loaded fries to churros and ice cream and the funfair proved a major hit, providing excitement and entertainment for visitors throughout the weekend.
The event brought residents and visitors together to celebrate the best of Ashfield, creating a lively atmosphere and showcasing Ashfield’s fantastic community spirit.
Councillor Chris Huskinson, Executive Lead Member for Leisure, Health and Wellbeing, said:
"It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying everything Ashfield Show had to offer.
“Ashfield Show continues to be one of the highlights of our summer events calendar, bringing together great entertainment, local businesses, community groups and residents for a memorable weekend.
“We'd like to thank everyone who attended, performed, traded, volunteered and helped make the event such a success."
Residents can look forward to more fantastic, free events with Ashfield Food and Drink Festival coming to Hucknall High Street on 23 August.
