Hucknall Christmas light switch on 2025
Hucknall high Street and Market Place car park will be packed out on Wednesday 3 December ready for the Hucknall Christmas light switch on event.
The Christmas light switch on, hosted by Ashfield District Council in partnership with Out of the Box Events, kicks off at 4pm with a line up of local primary schools, soloists, dance schools and the Hucknall Ukulele Group:
- 4pm Flying High Academy School Choir
- 4.20pm Jen Reckless School of Dance
- 4.30pm Linby cum Papplewick Primary School Choir
- 4.50pm Elise Florence Dance School
- 5.10pm Poppy Willow Singer Songwriter
- 5.25pm Believe Academy
- 5.40pm Dan Singer Guitarist
- 6pm Believe Academy
- 6.15pm Poppy Willow
- 6.30pm Phil Rostance - The Sounds of Christmas
- 7pm Lights switched on by the Chairman of ADC with Hucknall Ukulele Group to play the night out
Stalls will be spread across Market Place car park and Hucknall High Street with crafts, gifts, baked goods, pet accessories, jewellery, toys and more ready for the evening’s shoppers to browse. Small funfair rides will be available as well as hot food and drink.

“Hucknall’s Christmas light switch on event is one of the biggest nights of the year in Hucknall. I can’t wait to see everyone packed onto the High Street and Market Place car park to enjoy the festivities.
“We would like to say a massive thank you to all the performers who work so hard to make the night a success.The light switch on events are the best way to start the Christmas period, so make sure you bring your family and friends along.”
Hucknall’s Market Place car park will be closed for the event, parking is available in Piggins Croft.
