Recycling is getting simpler in Ashfield!

New government recycling requirements will come into effect from 31 March, making it easier for Ashfield residents to recycle the right items at home.

From this date, a wider range of everyday packaging can be placed in your recycling bin, including more plastics, cartons, paper, card and metal packaging. This means far less waste should need to go in your general bin.

These national changes are designed to create a simpler, more consistent recycling system across the country. We encourage all residents to review the updated guidance so you know exactly what can be recycled from 31 March.
