Spring into the new season with Ashfield Markets
Ashfield Markets is welcoming the arrival of spring with a fresh new season of local produce, vibrant stalls, and community spirit across the district’s town centres.
As the weather brightens, visitors can look forward to an array of seasonal fruit and vegetables, freshly baked goods, handcrafted items, plants, flowers, and unique products from independent traders. Spring is one of the most exciting times of year for local growers, and Ashfield Markets is showcasing the very best of what Nottinghamshire has to offer.
Councillor Matthew Relf, Executive Lead Member for Growth, Regeneration and Local Planning at Ashfield District Council, said “Spring brings a brilliant buzz to our markets, the perfect time to enjoy fresh, seasonal produce, support local traders, and soak up the lively atmosphere Ashfield’s markets are known for.
Our outdoor markets really come into their own during the spring and summer months. With new favourites like the Sutton Monday Market and our popular Food & Makers Market, there’s more than ever for residents to explore, taste, and enjoy.”
Ashfield Markets, held regularly in Sutton‑in‑Ashfield, Kirkby‑in‑Ashfield, and Hucknall continue to champion local enterprise and provide a welcoming space for families, food lovers, and weekend shoppers. Alongside fresh produce, visitors can explore artisan crafts, homeware, clothing, sweet treats, and a wide range of independent stalls.
