World-class art installation coming to Hucknall

Ashfield residents will be able to step inside the amazing world of the Luminarium, Daedalite, on Titchfield Park, Hucknall, on Friday 17 July – Sunday 19 July.

This incredible event is being delivered as part of Ashfield Creates “Summer of Creativity” on behalf of Ashfield District Council and the Ashfield Arts Partnership.

Daedalite, a Luminarium by Architects of Air, is an inflatable sculpture that invites people of all ages and abilities to explore the winding paths, soaring domes and radiant light and colour.

Part of the internationally acclaimed Luminarium series, which has attracted millions of visitors worldwide, it offers a unique sensory journey for audiences of all ages and backgrounds, including those with physical disabilities and mobility needs, making it a standout attraction in Ashfield's summer programme.

Tickets are priced as follows:

  • Standard tickets: £4
  • Family tickets (2 adults and 2 children): £13
  • Under 2s and carers accompanying a child or adult with a learning disability: free

Tickets can be purchased on Ashfield Creates website on Friday 19 June. Tickets are limited so interested residents are encouraged to book on Friday.

After the success of the Arts Explora Mobile Museum in 2024, we have been searching for ways to bring another large-scale cultural experience to the District. Thanks to our Arts Council funded Ashfield Creates programme we can bring inspiring arts and culture for all ages, right into the heart of our communities. We can’t wait to see the reaction to the Luminarium and we encourage everyone to book their tickets early so they don’t miss out.”

Alongside these larger attractions, the Summer of Creativity will bring a diverse programme of events and opportunities to communities across Ashfield, celebrating creativity, participation and cultural experiences throughout the summer.
