Teversal, Stanton Hill and Skegby neighbourhood plan

A neighbourhood plan for Teversal, Stanton Hill and Skegby has been adopted as part of the development plan and will be considered in planning applications in the area to 2031.

The plan was adopted as part of the development plan following a referendum in 2017 when more than 50 percent of those who voted said yes to the question:

"Do you want Ashfield District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Teversal, Stanton Hill and Skegby to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

Neighbourhood Forum

Under legislation, a neighbourhood forum can be designated for a period of 5 years. The Teversal Stanton Hill and Skegby Neighbourhood Forum was designated in 2015, redesignated in 2020 and has now been redesignated again with effect from 27 January 2025.

Stanton Hill investment plan

The Stanton Hill investment plan sets out a 10 year programme of priorities and interventions for the Stanton Hill Area, with the aim of creating a more attractive and prosperous place, whilst improving wellbeing and engagement for residents. The plan has been developed by us, in partnership with the community, to ensure that this investment plan meets the needs of Stanton Hill residents.

The plan identifies 4 themes for investment which are:

• Community spirit
• Rebuilding the high street
• Cleaner, safer, healthier
• Connected Stanton Hill
• Skills for Stanton Hill

The investment plan has been made with consideration to the Teversal, Stanton Hill, and Skegby Neighbourhood plan to ensure that the visions and objectives align to ensure the delivery of investment into the Stanton Hill area.
