Planning document copies

Documents and decision notices for all planning applications from 2013 onwards are available on our online planning application system:

If you require documents or decision notices for an application pre-dating 2013, or you need a paper copy or a copy sending by email, then you can request these for a small fee.

All requests for document copies need to be made by contacting us by email or post.

Fees for planning documents

If you want copies of planning documents relating to planning applications or decisions to be sent by post or email there is a charge.

For all planning documents associated with a planning application this is:

• £36 for same day service by email
• £18 for 10 day service for copies by email
• £24 for 10 day service for copies by post.

Same day services requests must be received by 10am.

Up to 5 copies of the same document, relating to the same site address, can be sent to a single email or postal address. Additional copies are £3 each. Where the documents are for different site addresses an additional charge will also be made.

Other documents

You can also get copies of other types of planning documentation copied and sent by email or post.

These can be ordered and paid for online and cost £18 for a copy by email, and £24 for a paper copy by post. They take 10 days to be sent to you.

They include:

• Tree Preservation Orders
• enforcement notices
• stamped approved plans
• building control decision notice (also available as a £36 same day service by email).

Copies of other types of documents have different charges:

• Local Plan - £55 (VAT exempt)
• search of historic planning records - £54
• letter for conveyancing purposes - £60 (also available as a £90 same day service by email)
• pre-submission inspection and report for regularisation applications - £120
• section 80 consultation for demolition - £96
• opening up of archived building file - £60
