Ashfield Careers Fair returns for 2026
Jobseekers wanting to take their first step on the career ladder or find a new challenge are invited to the 2026 Ashfield Careers Fair.
Ashfield District Council will once again be hosting the fair at Kirkby Leisure Centre, on Hodgkinson Road, from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday 14 October. This will include a dedicated quiet time from 1.30pm to 2pm.
More than 70 businesses from across Ashfield and the wider area are expected to showcase a wide range of jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities. The event currently has almost 600 employment and apprenticeship opportunities, with further roles expected to be added.
It is open to anyone aged 16 and over, including local schools and colleges, jobseekers and residents seeking careers, training, and employment advice.
The free event, supported by headline sponsors Matthews and Tannert Ltd and Mansfield Radio, is a chance to find out more about what employment, self-employment and training opportunities are available right here in Ashfield.
The council, in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions, will be hosting the event alongside guest exhibitors representing key employment sectors including manufacturing, construction, transport, logistics, education, healthcare, retail, hospitality and the public sector.
John Bennett, the council’s Executive Director for Place, said:
“Our careers fairs are always hugely successful events and it is great to see so many Ashfield businesses come together under one roof to share their knowledge and expertise. I would invite anyone who would like to find out more about the opportunities right on their doorstep to come along.
