We believe all residents have the right to enjoy their homes and where they live without nuisance or annoyance from their neighbours. Where there are reports of anti-social and nuisance behaviour (ASB) we will do all that we can to support residents to resolve problems as quickly as possible.

The term anti-social behaviour covers a wide range of unacceptable activity that can impact on the lives of many people on a daily basis. It often leave us feeling helpless, desperate and with a seriously reduced quality of life. Terms such as ‘nuisance’, ‘disorder’ and ‘harassment’ are also often used to describe this type of behaviour.

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) is defined as ‘unreasonable behaviour which causes or is capable of causing nuisance or annoyance to some person (who need not be a particular identified person)’.

We are committed to challenging and reducing such behaviour and the problems of anti-social behaviour.

Anti-social behaviour can include, but is not limited to:

• people gathering in groups
• rubbish or litter lying about
• being drunk or rowdy in public
• graffiti
• using loud foul and abusive language
• harassment
• environmental crime
• verbal abuse
• noise nuisance such as dogs barking or music playing
• underage drinking or smoking
• vehicle nuisance
• threats of violence
• intimidation
• bonfires
• animal problems
• overgrown gardens
• arguing, shouting or fighting.

Our teams cover community protection, anti-social behaviour and nuisance, domestic abuse and complex cases. We often work with other agencies, such as the police, to make sure Ashfield is a safe and pleasant place for people to live, work, and visit.

Please don’t use this form to report incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour that are an emergency, or a crime in progress; instead call Nottinghamshire Police.

Integrated Services Hub at Kirkby

Ashfield Community Partnership

Ashfield Community Partnership (ACP) is a multi-agency body responsible for tackling and addressing crime and disorder in Ashfield. The Partnership is made up of a number of statutory and non-statutory agencies including:

• Nottinghamshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner
• Ashfield District Council
• Nottinghamshire County Council
• Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service
• Ashfield and Mansfield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)
• Nottinghamshire Probation Trust
• The Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland Community Rehabilitation Company Limited
• the business community
• voluntary sector organisations
• residents and communities.

The Ashfield Community Partnership Strategic Plan 2019 to 2022 is a 3-year rolling document, which identifies how the partnership plans to tackle local community safety issues that matter to the local community.

Priorities identified in the plan are:

• anti-social behaviour
• vulnerable people
• domestic abuse
• violence
• integrated working.

The plan is revised annually through reviewing information set out in the Community Partnership Strategic assessment and from information obtained from the annual community consultation which ensures that current issues are taken into account and used to direct the CSP’s strategy and actions.
