Last night the Discover Ashfield Ambassadors came together for the first time to develop their understanding of Discover Ashfield and explore what they can do as part of their role.
The Ashfield Place Board was set up with the aspiration of making Ashfield a location and destination of choice for businesses and visitors and a desirable place to live for all residents.
A wide range of stakeholders and partners have been involved in shaping the project, with a desire to see efforts unified to maximise the impact in helping Ashfield prosper, everyone involved has been struck by the level of passion and ambition for Ashfield.
The Ambassador Programme was set up to recruit ambassadors including business, visitor and community leaders to actively promote Ashfield.
The first meeting saw fifteen ambassadors from a range of back grounds come together to network and discuss ideas.
Martin Rigley, owner of Lindhurst Engineering and Chairman of the Discover Ashfield Board said “It was great to see so many people here tonight that are as passionate as I am about promoting Ashfield as a great place to live, visit and work.
“The role of an ambassador is to promote the district, and we’d invite anyone who is interested in being an ambassador to get in touch. Ashfield has so much to offer and we need your help in sharing our story.”
