Sutton Volunteers Keep Ashfield Tidy with ‘The Great British Spring Clean’

Monday 10 April

Volunteers from Teversal village and the New Life Ministry in Christ Church turned out on two weekends to support the recent Keep Britain Tidy, Great British Spring Clean.

Eighteen environmental volunteers and two green buddies (young volunteers) from Teversal collected a truck load of rubbish from around the village, the country lanes and Teversal Trails.

The Stanton Hill area of Brierley Forest Park was the focus of another Great British Spring Clean litter pick involving 13 environmental volunteers and three green buddies from the New Life Ministry in Christ Church.

Both groups of volunteers were really pleased with the results of their efforts and are keen to get involved in other tidy up events as part of the Council’s Even Cleaner Streets initiative.

If you are inspired by this story and want to help tidy up your street or local park then why not become a Volunteer?
