Free bulky waste collection

The way we offer free bulky waste collections is changing.
We are now offering one free bulky waste collection of up to 3 items, for all residents across the year. Residents will be able to book a free collection based on where they live.
The new scheme started in April 2022 with Kirkby and the Rurals, moving to Hucknall in May and Sutton in June. The rotation then starts again, giving all residents 4 months of the year when they can book a free bulky waste collection.
Book early
The free slots need to be booked early, as places are limited for each location.
Area A - Kirkby area
Free bulky waste collections take place:
April 2024, July 2024, October 2024 and January 2025

Area B - Hucknall area
Collections take place in:
May 2024, August 2024, November 2024, and February 2025

- Linby
- Papplewick
Area C - Sutton area
Collections take place in:
June 2024, September 2024, December 2024, and March 2025

- Huthwaite
- Mansfield
- Skegby
- Stanton Hill
- Sutton

- Tibshelf
Bookings
Bookings for free bulky waste collections can be made up to one week before the collection month, and collections must be made during the month stated for the area you live in. You will need to book your slot early to avoid missing out, as spaces are limited
Bulky collections will be still be available to residents at other times, with a new price of £20 for up to 3 items.
To book your free bulky waste collection, you will need to log into Ashfield 24/7. If you have an account you can log in and select ‘New requests’ to submit your collection request. If you do not have an account you can create one in a few simple steps, all you need is an active email address to create an Ashfield 24/7 account.
