Dinosaurs of all kinds have been spotted roaming around Sutton Lawn and Kings Mill Reservoir.
An augmented reality Dinosaur Safari has been added to the Love Exploring app at both the sites, providing an interactive trail for all the family.
The Love exploring app, provided by Sprytar, has been rolled out as part of the Mill Waters project by Ashfield District Council.
A launch event was held at Sutton Lawn during the first week of October half term, providing young explorers the chance to meet everything from T-Rex to Velociraptors face-to-face.
The app also features maps, events, a history quiz and fitness trails by Everyone Active.
Councillor Jason Zadrozny, Leader of the Council, said: “Having been down to Kings Mill Reservoir to try it out myself, this app will be a great opportunity for people to get out and about and spend time with their families and friends whilst visiting the sites.
“The first dinosaur I found was a huge Brachiosaurus straight out of Jurassic Park! I hope people will enjoy learning more about the park and have fun exploring the activities.”
Simply download the Love Exploring app on your smartphone, available on IOS and Android, select Mill Waters and scan away to explore and discover the hidden depths of Ashfield’s much loved parks.
