Parks & Green Spaces Update

Tuesday 12 May 2020 Parks & Green Spaces Update

From tomorrow (13th May), in line with government guidance there will be a number of changes at our parks and green spaces.

  • All car parks at parks and green spaces will reopen
  • You can spend more time outdoors – for example sitting and enjoying the fresh air, picnicking, or sunbathing
  • You can meet one other person from a different household outdoors - following social distancing guidelines
  • You can exercise outdoors as often as you wish - following social distancing guidelines

We ask that all visitors to our parks and green spaces stick to the social distancing guidelines and stay at least two metres apart.

The one way system will remain in place at Kings Mill Reservoir, we ask visitors to continue to follow this.

Some pedestrian gates may remain locked for the safety of visitors, but parks will be accessible by other entrances.

All our playgrounds and outdoor gyms will remain closed and we ask that you do not access these.

If you are showing coronavirus symptoms, or if you or any of your household are self-isolating, you should stay at home - this is critical to staying safe and saving lives.
