Over 400,000 farmed puppies are still being sold every year in the UK, leading to unexpected and substantial vet bills for the new owners.
A puppy farm is where multiple dogs are continually bred and the puppies sold. They are kept in poor conditions as the 'breeders' don't care for their health and happiness. They are very different to reputable breeders.
Licensed breeders are registered and inspected to ensure they meet a minimum standard as set out in The Animal welfare (licensing of activities involving animals) (England) Regulations 2018.
To ensure you buy your next dog or fur-ever friend from a reputable breeder, only buy from a legal, licensed and inspected animal premises.
