Sutton is a thriving town, serving a population of over 48,590 and provides excellent facilities including the Idlewells Shopping Centre, numerous national and local independent shops and banks on Low Street and Forest Street.
The town is situated 4 miles south west of Mansfield, some 14 miles north of Nottingham and has excellent road access via the A38 to junction 28 of the M1 motorway.
The Idlewells Indoor Market is located within the Idlewells Shopping Centre, Sutton-in-Ashfield, which is well serviced with a bus station and a multi-storey car park.
The shopping centre has good pedestrian footfall with around 80,000 measured visits per week. Amongst other shops and a library the shopping centre includes Boots, Greggs, Argos, New Look, Peacocks, Ladbrokes, Specsavers, JD Sports, Heron Foods, Superdrug, Warren James, B&M Bargains and Card Zone.
The market has recently been refurbished at a cost in excess of £1.8 million to provide a 21st century shopping experience. Access to the indoor market is either from the shopping centre or from Market Street with good disabled access at both entrances.
The market contains some well-established traders including Geoff Webster Bakery, Colledges Butchers, Alan's Family Butchers, Tony's Cafe, Habiknit, Dove Communications, Memory Lane Cards, Jenny's Lingerie, Jane's Bags, Jumbu's Fashions, Emma & Richards Books, Nigel's Fresh Fish, Munchies & More, Petscene and The Beauty Zone.
A total of 34 stalls are situated around a seating area below a glass atrium. Each stall includes L.E.D. lighting, at least 4 power sockets, data sockets and some stalls have water and drainage, ideal for catering operations.
The stalls are varied in shape, and sized from 9.96 m2 (113.9 ft2) to 27.38 m2 (294.7 ft2).
The market is managed by Ashfield District Council who arrange the heating, cleaning and maintenance of the market, which has an intruder alarm and is served by CCTV. The market also has free public Wi-Fi. Traders' toilets are available on site and there is good access for deliveries.
Stall fees start at £5,466 per annum (that's less than £18.00 per trading day). The stall fees are exempt from VAT. Generous discounts are available for new traders and grants are available to help with stall fit-out costs.
Stalls are let on a licence agreement terminated by six months written notice. Traders are not tied in to long agreements, making the market a low risk option.
