Ashfield Food and Drink Festival is back

Ashfield Food and Drink Festival is back this weekend

A day filled with tantalising tastes and smells from across the globe is heading to Hucknall this weekend.

Ashfield District Council is delighted to host the Ashfield Food and Drink Festival for 2025 as it heads to Hucknall High Street from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 17 August.

The annual event will offer a day of smells, sounds, and tastes from around the world. It will include produce, street food, cheeses, baked goods, beers, rum, cider, and kitchen gifts with over 50 stalls offering something to everyone’s taste.

Visitors will also be treated to live music throughout the day from 11am to 2pm from the hugely talented Vaguely Savoury and will have the opportunity to see the experts in action with cookery demonstrations by Rupert from Healthy Eating Solutions.

Cllr Chris Huskinson, Ashfield District Council’s Executive Lead Member for Leisure, Health and Wellbeing, said:

“We are delighted to welcome so many traders to Hucknall High Street once again for our annual Ashfield Food and Drink Festival.
“This is always a brilliant day out and a big hit with our residents. There really is something for everyone’s tastebuds and is the perfect opportunity to try something new that you have never tasted before.
“This is our final summer event for 2025, and I can’t wait to see everyone there once again. Make sure you don’t miss out this weekend.”

Hucknall Councillors, John Wilmott, Lee Waters and Dave Shaw also praised the event, saying

We’re proud to welcome everyone to Hucknall for a celebration of local flavour and community spirit. Ashfield Food and Drink Festival showcases the very best of our town, from passionate producers to vibrant entertainment, and reflects the pride we all share in Hucknall.”

The Ashfield Food and Drink Festival follows on from a hugely successful Summer of events which included Ashfield Show and Hucknall Fest.

The next event will be Sparks in the Park on Sutton Lawn on Saturday 1 November.
