“What a wonderful night. It was great to be part of the awards and hear such brilliant success stories about Ashfield.
“It was so inspirational learning about the work that local businesses and organisations do to spread opportunity, enrich our community and to protect our environment. It’s a shame there can only be one winner in each category as all the Ashfield finalists were winners for me.”
He added: “On behalf of the Council, I would like to thank Mansfield & Ashfield 2020 for hosting a fantastic evening where those involved can be proud of what they have achieved and take away a lasting memory as well as our communities’ thanks and admiration.

Chairman of the Council, David Walters, who presented the Outstanding Contribution Award, said:

“It was a pleasure to be part of the awards as a representative of Ashfield and to present one of the awards to such a fantastic person.
“Our district has some fantastic businesses and individuals who achieve great things in our communities. This evening, dedicated to them, is a token of our appreciation for their success, hard work and commitment.”
