The area boasts miles of way-marked rural walks, cycle paths and bridleways with fascinating sites of natural, industrial and cultural heritage, nestled amongst wooded areas and open countryside.
Along the walks you will find Newstead Abbey, Felley Priory, Annesley Old Church and several rural parish churches, each with their own fascinating tales to tell.
Way-marked walks range from 2.5 miles to 10 miles in length - downnload some from the local history and heritage page. There are several country pubs along the trails where you will receive a warm welcome at any time of the year.
