Films in the park – this weekend

Film lovers are expected to flock to Selston Country Park this Saturday for Ashfield District Council’s free open-air cinema day.

On Saturday 24 June from 12pm-8pm visitors can enjoy two family films being shown on the big screen, free face painting, a bar, and inflatables.

Showing at 2pm will be Minions: The Rise of Gru, followed by Top Gun: Maverick from 5.30pm.

Surrounded by the lush setting of the award-winning Selston Country Park, the cinema event will create a magical day and evening for the whole family. There is no booking or tickets required to attend this event.

Cllr Arnie Hankin, Ward Councillor for Selston said:

“We are proud to be bringing this fantastic free family event back to the Selston Country Park as part of our Splendid Summer of events. Why not pack a picnic and bring your chairs, and family to join the fun.
“Ashfield District Council have a history of hosting wonderful free events for the community and our Films in the Park will be one of our best.”
