It is recommended that you read the full provisions of this Act before making a licence application. Copies of the Act can be viewed online at the Office of Public Sector Information or in person at any Council office. Alternatively, a copy of the Act can be obtained at The Stationery Office.
If you require further assistance to understand the requirements of the Act, please contact the Health and Safety Commercial Team.
The prime purpose of these regulations is to identify potential areas that could give rise to spread of infectious disease, e.g. legionella, and to ensure preventative measures are taken to eliminate the risk of such infection arising to employees and the public.
Registering your premises
To register your premises you must complete an application form and return the form to the Council offices. No registration fee is required.
Alternatively, an application form can be obtained from Ashfield District Council.
Once the application form has been accepted, registration takes place and the acknowledgement slip is stamped and returned to the applicant.
Will Tacit Consent Apply?
No. It is in the public interest that the authority must process your application before it can be granted. If you have not heard from Ashfield District Council within a reasonable period, please contact us.
We look forward to receiving your application and if you have any difficulty with any of the forms or have any questions, please contact the Commercial Team.
