Leisure Centre competition
We are inviting residents of all ages to tell us what they love about Ashfield District Council’s 3 leisure centres.
We’d love to receive poems, drawings, short stories or images of why you love your local leisure centre.
The 3 leisure centres included in this competition are:
- Lammas Leisure Centre
- Kirkby Leisure Centre
- Hucknall Leisure Centre
There will be 3 age categories:
- 11 years and under
- 12 – 17 years old
- 18 years and above.
There will be 4 winners in each category, and each will receive a £50 voucher to use at our leisure centres!
Open to entries from Saturday 17 September 2022.
Entries must be submitted by midnight on Sunday 30 October 2022.
Rules and how to enter
You can enter up to a maximum of 3 times. Each submission must be different.
Judging will take place in the days after the closing date on Sunday 30 October 2022, and winners will be notified in the week commencing 7 November 2022. The winner of each category will receive a £50 Everyone active voucher.
Under 16s will need a parent or guardian’s name to enter.

Winning entries will be showcased in the February edition of Ashfield Matters, and be used in promotional material by Ashfield District Council and Everyone Active.
